Move Types
Just as each Pokemon has a type, the moves each Pokemon uses can have a type. This does not mean that the Pokemon can only use moves that are the same type it is. Most Pokemon can use a variety of different type moves, some that can turn the tides in a battle.
A Prinplup can learn PECK, a flying type move, but it is a water type. Even though water is weak to grass, a Prinplup with PECK can use that move to land a super effective hit. Try to keep in mind most of the moves different Pokemon can learn. Always go into a battle assuming that the opponent's Pokemon has at least one move that is not the same type as the Pokemon. |
